The KleinTraffic System is used to enhance the maritime domain awareness surrounding ports or high traffic waterways. The system starts by managing traffic flow in a region by identifying, prioritizing and managing any risks to a port. Including non/compliance with ISPS codes, Port and Facility Plans, tracking of dangerous goods and managing incidents and delays. Additionally, the system’s capacity to configure warning messages that notify users of any abnormal practices or omitted procedures gives the Port management team increased lead time to assess threat levels, take necessary action or take other precautions. These capabilities further the security and safety of all maritime operators within the pre-defined domain overseen by KleinTraffic.

While KleinTraffic manages traffic flows within the pre-defined traffic regions it is able to integrate and share this information with port authorities and port community members on actual times and alert them to changes, conflicts, incidents, hazardous cargos, threat levels and other information that may impact their business or schedules.

KleinTraffic increases operational safety by providing the necessary database components for security and surveillance systems for maritime traffic regions and facilities.  KSG can also integrate databases of existing monitoring systems. This collaboration of existing and new systems improves surveillance efforts and effectiveness via the creation of a central command and control post. The command and control post essentially expands the area and coverage of surveillance by enabling an automated and virtual checkpoint.
